Standing within the hex frame, athletes can maximise their lifting power through a range of movements including deadlifts, shrugs, carries and pressing movements. Particularly popular for deadlifting, many strength coaches believe that the setup of the bar offers extra protection for athletes’ backs through each stage of the lift. The hex frame bar helps athletes keep the weight closer to their body for an improved upright position while lifting (this is particularly helpful for beginners).
